Harmony Cloud™ is an innovative ear training tool developed by esteemed jazz vibraphonist and music educator Stefon Harris, in collaboration with software entrepreneur and jazz trombonist Clif Swiggett. It is designed to assist musicians at every stage of their journey, from beginners to professionals, to expand their musical perception, deepen their comprehension of harmony, and fearlessly explore the realm of improvisation. Its proprietary, patent-pending algorithm seamlessly weaves together selected chords, creating an endless source of unpredictable yet melodic chord progressions.

The "Listen and Play" feature allows users to fully immerse themselves in chord progressions and play along with their chosen instruments or vocals. It can be utilized to enhance intuitive harmony perception, practice improvisation, cultivate aural skills, and improve performance elements including intonation and emotional expression.

"Bass Note Practice" hones users' ability to identify the pitch of the bass note and recognize movements in bass lines. Bass lines serve as the foundation of every chord progression, and a quick and accurate understanding of the bass note greatly enhances musical proficiency.

"Chord Quality Practice" fosters a deeper emotional and physical connection to various chord qualities such as major, minor, diminished, augmented, and sus4. Users will develop an intuitive and reflexive recognition of these qualities.

"Inversions Practice" trains users to perceive the distinction between root position, first inversion, and second inversion chords. Inversions offer unique voicings that emphasize different tonics, thirds, or fifths as the bass note. Each inversion possesses its own distinct beauty and harmonic tendencies.

"Full Chord Practice" enables users to seamlessly integrate three essential skills—identifying the bass note, chord quality, and inversion—to swiftly, accurately, and comprehensively recognize chords purely by ear.

"Play Chord Pitches" enhances users' capacity to identify each individual note within a chord. When a new chord is played, users can use the keyboard feature to identify each pitch.

"Take the Challenge" to assess your skill level, achieve high scores, and monitor your progress. Each challenge targets one of the key skills you have practiced. Once you begin a challenge, just like in a musical performance, there is no interruption, pause, or restart midway. Every challenge is scored, and your scores, along with other performance statistics, are stored for you to track your improvement over time.

Harmony Cloud can be customized to suit the needs of any musician or teacher. The range of chord progressions encompasses simple I-IV-V patterns to complex progressions featuring hundreds of chords.
